Rewarding career in trades
SouthRoads' Invercargill staff members Paige Bergman, Brooke Brown-Ogilvy, Jess Wilson, Alex Machattie, and Shannon Hall shared their experiences at the Girls in Trade expo, discussing life as women working in the infrastructure industry with the next generation of tradeswomen.
The expo transformed into a hands-on adventure, featuring a traffic management 'race' and line marking challenge. Attendees even got a taste of the action behind the wheel of Alex's truck.
All the women offered invaluable insights into their diverse roles, educating participants on different pathways into the trades and highlighting the rewards of the field.
