Allied Petroleum Introduces New Digital Receipt System to Enhance Efficiency and Sustainability
Allied Petroleum has implemented a new digital receipt system aimed at reducing paper waste and printing through Outdoor Payment Terminals (OPTs) and enhancing business operations. Instead of customers, whether commercial or everyday users, inserting their card and receiving a printed receipt that can be easily lost or misplaced, they now have the option to input their mobile number to set up portal access for tracking all their transactions going forward. This system is particularly beneficial for employees needing records of fleet card usage or expenses, it can also serve as a fraud detection tool by alerting cardholders of charges and is also reducing the number of customer queries related to pre-authorisation charges due to accurate documentation of spending amounts.
During the pilot week, over 468 customers in Canterbury registered, resulting in an impressive 1.2 million litres captured within two weeks. With each transaction, the business gains real-time insights into customer behaviour and can solicit feedback for operational improvements. Additionally, the application supports notifications and general promotional updates. This system is now operating nationwide throughout the network.
